| Project Description |
| The proposed project involves
improvements to a 3.8 mile portion of S.R. 0021, Section H10 in German,
Menallen, and South Union Townships, and the City of Uniontown. The project
begins at the intersection of S.R. 0021 and S&T Drive (T-475) near the CITGO
Service Station, and extends east to the intersection of West Main Street
(S.R. 0040). Due to the increased development, high volume of traffic, and
safety concerns, improvements to the corridor are proposed. Major
improvements within this section include widening the existing roadway
facility to alleviate congestion, providing an appropriate median treatment
for safety, and traffic signal improvements which include designated turn
around points The Route 21, Section H10 project is in the Preliminary Engineering Phase. During this phase, we will present preliminary alternatives for roadway improvements including right-of-way, configuration of intersections and locations of left turn lanes for public review and comment. Based on public input, alternatives will be refined, and public input will help determine the preferred alternative.
